Social Media Stories – Red Baron

Red Baron Stories

During my time managing Red Baron’s social media, I created, posted and moderated engagement on 2500 + posts/reels. I helped transform their online presence, growing their Instagram from 2,200 followers to over 80,000 followers and driving the account reach to an average of 15 million accounts per quarter. With 70% of organic sales coming directly from social media, it became a major revenue driver.

A key pillar of my content strategy for Red Baron was leveraging Instagram and Facebook Stories to offer an authentic, behind-the-scenes look at our day-to-day operations. I captured what might seem mundane, such as suiting up, refuelling or pre-flighting aircraft and and shared it with our audience. I was amazed to see how well it the things we did every day performed.

Much like a reality TV series, these stories built suspense and engagement: would the weather clear in time? Would we fix a flat tyre or be stranded on the runway? This approach not only drove exceptional performance but also humanized our operation.

The impact was measurable. I began receiving feedback from my team that they were being recognized in public, with fans asking for photos after seeing them online. In one instance, a passenger booked a flight, exclaiming, “I want to be famous like you guys!”.

The number one answer to the How Did you Hear About Us Booking question was Social media.

As stories expire after 24 hours I have screen-recorded a recent example:
